Hello! I am Shaleen Kumar, Founder of Mindfulness Meditation and Optimal Training. I have worked in the Rehabilitation field where I have worked with clients who have sustained various degrees of injury, stroke, general weakness and mental health conditions. I hold a Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction-Health Education

Hello! I am Shaleen Kumar, Founder of Mindfulness Meditation and Optimal Training. I have worked in the Rehabilitation field where I have worked with clients who have sustained various degrees of injury, stroke, general weakness and mental health conditions. I hold a Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction-Health Education and Active living. 

With over 15 years of experience in rehabilitation and education, I have developed a unique approach to Mindfulness training that combines evidence-based practices with a client-centered focus.  I Instruct mindfulness/stress reduction sessions to individuals  who are visually impaired and have sustained a stroke.  It doesn't stop there, I lead workshops for workplace sabbatical in BC and Internationally. Additionally, I host mindfulness classes for college students and stress reduction for children.  My son and I have published a children's journal "I'm Awesome" which promotes a growth mindset for children (Amazon)   

My mission is to help others obtain ways to manage stress and promote a growth/open mindset, develop healthy relationships and improve their overall wellbeing. Welcome and hope to meet you soon!

I believe that every individual has the potential to live a fulfilling and purposeful life. I also believe that our biggest teachers are our failures and/or hardships.  However, pain and emotional stress resides in the cells of the body and may manifest into toxic conditions, unwanted behaviours and/or diseases if not given the proper too

I believe that every individual has the potential to live a fulfilling and purposeful life. I also believe that our biggest teachers are our failures and/or hardships.  However, pain and emotional stress resides in the cells of the body and may manifest into toxic conditions, unwanted behaviours and/or diseases if not given the proper tools to deal with. Stress, unresolved pain and negative emotions affect the body and mind physiologically. This also blocks the manifestation process by hindering growth and opportunities. My approach is centered around helping my clients cultivate self-awareness, identify their values and goals, and create actionable steps towards achieving them. I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner world and work towards their desired outcomes.
